AB FilesCan I ask what the rules are with your files? AKA you stop supporting 7th can a local club keep supporting updates internally? You put out 8th edition and a local club has RAI vs your RAW can they maintain an internal file?
Re: AB FilesThere's nothing stopping anyone modifying the files for their own use, they are downloaded into Army Builder and you can use ABCreator to edit them. However, if a new version is released that is then downloaded to the same folder that you've modified, all of your changes will be overwritten; so if you do modify anything, make sure you copy the entire set of files to another folder. You can have multiple copies in different folders at the same time, and AB will let you choose which one to load up when you start it.
Also note that any changes you make to one file may not work in conjunction with a future file release; eg. if you edit the Space Marines file to add a unit, and then a new 40k release comes out with changes to only a few other files and not the Space Marines, your Space Marines file may not work as it might reference changed units/rules/settings in another file that has changed. So long as you keep copies of your changes somewhere safe so you can test updates with them and not risk overwriting them you should be ok. Dan
