New Battle Missions - Kill Teams

#1  Postby db2000 » Wed Mar 24, 2010 10:57 pm

Hi,

Just wondering if there are any plans to add a kill team option that will remove the minimum squad values etc. i.e. I don't have to take 10 sisters of battle when doing a kill team mission, I could actually take anything from 0 to 20 but keep my team within 200pts.

Best Wishes,

It probably will be done - it is however, on the back burner for the moment as there is a lot going on behind the scenes in regards to Competitive Output and the impending doom known as the Blood Angels (PS, don't ask - 1 month from codex release)...
Q: Why does Star Fleet Battles attract so many rules lawyers? A: Because the company tries to close loopholes instead of doing what other companies do (ignore the problem or tell the customers to toss a coin.)

not to be a bubble burster here but where does it say in battle missions i can take units under the minimum size ?

the models are still purchased as a unit but treated as individuals during the game.

if i missed anything please let me know as it will get more of my local players to play the new kill team.

You're right, squads have to be chosen as normal. I can only assume that db2000 hasn't read the rules and assumed they were similar to the old 4th ed kill team rules, and I guess Homer_S hasn't checked them yet.

I have the book... I'll take a look when I'm home (on a family va-ca ATM).
