Decided my old and chipped Bloodletters needed repainting finally. Been about 5 years since I painted them so the improvement alone in painting skills is worth the repaint. This is the mostly finished paint job however, I need to do something different with the horns/spikes I think. The bone look doesn't fit in my mind. Ideas anyone?

really nice job there mate (and good to see you are going towards a better god than ol' blue boy with your daemons!!)

You right with the horns, maybe a far darker colour for the horns to blend in more, similar to the way archaon's horns and horse'e hooves are done type thing?

Always have used the Bloodletters, too damn good not too :D

Hmmmmm.. and I was going to say I liked the bone look. the Bleached white colors set off the reds on the body nice.
The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.

Bone it is then. I posted these pics for some other friends as well and you have all said the same thing. Now for a little experiment. What do you guys think of the bit of cotten around each foot? Does it look like smoke rising or no? If so, should there be more or less of it?

Nice effect. Its kind of like a mist look(lite fog maybe) since its all the same color. Not sure how well it would color if you tried to apply any paint to the cotten. Overall its a great look. How will it look when you apply an clear overcoat sealer to the cotten?

I thought the same thing. Going to pull it off and spray some black primer on the cotton to make it more smoke like.

Bloody brilliant wraith, i recognize the style from your carnosaur/bike/demon.. and i still think it's super!!

and the smoke is a nice touch!

Finally some TASTE from Wraith...

Too much bloody magicky previously... finally some BLOOD.

I love 'em - very nice indeed.

Only nitpick = Don't like the Axes. Can't say why... just don't.

My personal "Daemon blade" look has been Ice Blue almost like a frost blade. I like it cos it's simple and offsets the red and bone.

Not too keen on the green lightning. Apart from that - I love them, much better than mine.

I have had more than a few people comment on the blade. I am thinking of trying to paint it up as if the metal were white hot as well but I can't help but think that will be too much of the lava/molten look. Any suggestions folks?

I think pick one color that looks "daemonic" that offsets the Red and "Hell" look.

That's what I have done, and it works well I think - Ice Blue with some highlights here and there.

I've followed it up with the Dreadnought and the Daemon Prince - both and carrying Axes or Swords in the same color.

Well here is another reason for the colour of the axe. It's a bit hard to see but take a look at the Lord's weapon in the 2nd pic. I can always change his as well of course.

well if the curtains match the carpet Wraith (or something like that) then I'd say to leave it.

Not a big deal, and represents your theory of what they should look like is all.
